The Morrisons Foundation, a registered charity (1160224), has been set up by the supermarket chain Morrisons to support local good causes in England, Scotland and Wales.
Objectives of Fund
The Foundation is offering grants to help get new projects off the ground that will benefit the local community.
There is no minimum or maximum grant level. Funding is at the discretion of the Foundation.
Previous grants have ranged from £5,000 to £20,000.
Who Can Apply
Charities, voluntary organisations and community groups in Great Britain can apply.
England, Scotland, and Wales
The following are not eligible for funding:
- For-profit organisation and projects.
- Retrospective costs.
- Projects which have already been started.
- Projects taking place in Northern Ireland.
The funding is for new projects that groups would like to get off the ground but for which they have no funding.
The projects should benefit the local community and can cover a wide range of areas including young people, older people, health and wellbeing and improving the local environment.

The Foundation is expected to launch its new website the week commencing 15 June 2015. Once the new website is launched, the application process will be online.
