Digital Volunteers – Could you benefit?
The Wales Co-operative Centre delivers a Welsh Government project, Digital Communities Wales, which provides support to organisations that are working with digitally excluded groups, particularly older people, people with disabilities, unemployed people, social housing tenants and families in poverty.
- Is your organisation working with people who are not online?
- Could your organisation benefit from having a digital volunteer?
- Could digital volunteer support them to start using digital technology?
Digital Communities Wales is here to help your organisation.
With 21 per cent of adults in Wales still not online many are missing out on opportunities to save money, look for work, find information, keep in touch with family, learn new skills and access important services. They may already be coping with issues such as isolation, poverty or unemployment – issues which are made worse by not being online.
Many third sector organisations are already benefitting from the contribution being made by Digital Volunteers, if you would like to find out more about the opportunities for you and the people you support, please contact: Christine Davies, Volunteering Officer, Interlink RCT firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone 01443 846200
