The Rhondda Cynon Taf Local Service Board is a partnership of the Chief Executives and Chairs of the local public and voluntary sector organisations. Our aim is to work together, where it adds value, on projects and services that improve the safety, health and prosperity of Rhondda Cynon Taf.
As a Board, our role is to make decisions on partnership working; providing direction, allocating resources, commissioning services and ensuring our statutory duties are being met. We do this with the help of the ‘Public Service Co-ordination Group’ (formerly the ‘Operational Steering Group’), which is made up of senior managers from each of our organisations. The members of this group are also members of other partnership forums, such as boards brought together under Welsh Government law e.g. the Social Services & Wellbeing Act Partnership Board; or groups brought together to commission services e.g. the Cwm Taf Area Planning Board. The members of the PSCG have the role of co-ordinating partnership working and report to the Local Service Board.. Our strategy is outlined in Delivering Change: a Single Integrated Plan for Rhondda Cynon Taf (2013).
