Community Voice Capturing Our Community The Older Voices Group at Llwynypia Learning Curve which is run by RCTCBC, has been supported by Age Connects Morgannwg (The Breakthrough Project). They have formed a very successful partnership and has strengthened and continued to provide a voice for older people with a learning disability in their local communities. The group decided that they would like to show people what was important to them within their community and it was agreed that it could be done via a photographic exhibition with the help of a Gwanwyn Grant that we were successful in obtaining. A total of 8 participants were involved in the “Capturing Our Community” photographic exhibition. Both The Breakthrough Project and Llwynypia Learning Curve feel that this project was successful in delivering its aims of supporting the Older Voices Group to prepare and deliver a quality, professional, public, photographic exhibition, and therefore giving the Older Voices Group a voice within their community.
