The Essentials: Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act – Learning Resources – There are now a growing number of resources available for all of us in relation to understanding what the act means for the society and the third sector. A great resource is the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act Information and Learning Hub. The resources include an ‘Introduction and Awareness’ pack and an interactive e-learning module designed to improve your knowledge and understanding of the Act – click here to view it. Pontypridd Talking News Association – A registered Charity, “Pontypridd Talking News Association” (PTNA) has, for 40 years, provided for the Visually Impaired (V.I.) members of the Pontypridd and District communities a FREE 60 minute CD – relating the week`s local news contained in the Pontypridd Observer. A free delivery service is provided by the Royal Mail so there is no cost to the recipient. Currently there are over 50 V.I. listeners enjoying their weekly news digest but they can easily provide the service to many more V.I. community members in Pontypridd and district. The Phoenix Singers – we are a ladies choir based in Abercynon but have members from all over the valleys. Re-Energising Wales – Project Officer role – The Institute of Welsh Affairs (IWA) is seeking a Project Officer to work on an innovative new project looking at making Wales a net exporter of renewable energy.
