Practical Tools for Empowering People supports workers to help a person identify the assets that they have in life in order that they can guide them to a more sustainable future – all through some simple easy-to-use tools. By supporting a person to realise the wealth of assets they have in and around them, this naturally installs confidence and encourages the participant to realise their own solutions to problems. This is a person-centred approach that encourages the participant to make their own journey to a better future whilst building stronger communities along the way!
Aim of this training: To gain practical experience in using a number of tools that will help a person map all the wealth of resources, skills and assets they already have available to them in order that they become more confident, independent and empowered. This effectively results in more sustainable futures for themselves, their families and their communities.
Buffet Lunch will be provided. Any dietary requirements need to be stated on time of booking. Spaces are limited therefore booking is advisable.
