Deafblind UK has recently secured funding to expand our services in Wales. As a result, we are delighted to be recruiting experienced community services staff to join the Deafblind Cymru team and develop our valuable services across Wales.
These exciting opportunities, funded by the National Lottery through the Big Lottery Fund Wales, can be based in either North or South Wales, depending on applicants’ location.
Each role will play a vital part in developing and strengthening our local services. The roles involve proactively supporting and enabling people with combined sight and hearing loss by implementing and managing a range of Deafblind UK support services such as social groups, befriending, digital technology support and much more. All our services are designed to enable deafblind people to live the lives they want.
Successful candidates will be passionate, competent and confident engagers. They will be natural networkers and be able to build relationships with social service teams and agencies to highlight the importance of Deafblind UK’s work. They will have working knowledge of social care and experience of supporting individuals with disabilities.
