Message from the Team
Dear lovely co-prodders,
Welcome to the December edition of the newsletter from the Co-production Network for Wales.
This past month has been a busy one and the Network has been represented at a number of events, particularly the launch of the new Big Lottery Helping Working Families Fund. It is hugely helpful to the co-production cause that such an important funder is requiring applicants to work co-productively, as this will be setting a strong example to follow. We applaud this commitment and look forward to ongoing conversations with Big Lottery and other partners around the evaluation of social change projects.
We also have a date for your diary – just one for now and the others will be announced in due course. We are organising regional forum events and the Cardiff area one is booked for Wednesday 28th February 2018. It will be hosted by ACE and Spice, and is an opportunity to meet other Network members from the area, showcase and learn about local projects, and use the Most Significant Change technique which is an evaluation tool we will be making more use of within the Network. Other regional forums events being planned are in the Swansea area and Anglesey, and dates will be confirmed shortly.
(If you’re interested in hosting a regional forum event do get in touch with the team – firstname.lastname@example.org. We have much support to offer and we are keen to team up with willing members across Wales to run more events.)
And finally we have been recruiting, and we are very pleased to announce that Rachel Wolfendale will be ensuring the coordinator maternity cover from January to December 2018, and Noreen will be staying on as she has been appointed to succeed Mark as Network Director.
We are currently designing and choosing merchandise and resources for the Network members. Is there anything that you think the Network members need? If so please do get in touch with us with your ideas…
Just some of our ideas so far are: Tote bags; Pens; Note pads; Stickers; Post it notes etc…
We will be back with a fresh update at the start of the New Year, and in the meantime we would like to wish you a peaceful, restful and co-productive festive period.
Noreen and Taela-mae
