Actif Woods Treherbert
Active Inclusion Launch
Friday 16th of February 2018 at Valley Kids
10:00am – 1:00pm
Actif Woods Wales have secured Active Inclusion funding to deliver woodland activity programmes (one session per week over 12 weeks) to enhance the physical, mental and social well-being of adults over 24yrs. The programme is available to those who are long-term unemployed, have a health condition meaning they are unable to work or are a carer. Also, anyone over 54.
The woodland activities could range from short, easy walks and woodland crafts to basic bush-craft skills and woodland management. All activities will be tailored to suit the abilities and needs of the group.
If you support individuals that fit these criteria in the Treherbert/RCT area, come to our launch and find out how engaging in woodland-based activities can benefit your service users. As well as talks from Actif Woods staff about our new funding and what our 12-week programme can offer those you support, there will be an opportunity to discuss partnership working and gather ideas from you as to what you would like from us.
Please get in touch if you have any questions.
