Measuring the Mountain will be hosting a Citizens’ Jury at the Liberty Stadium, Swansea between September 24th and 27th. This exciting event will see 12 – 15 members of the public examine a policy matter, relating to care, that arises from the stories we’re collecting.
The range and complexity of experiences that are being shared with the project is huge, and the Jury will be a fantastic way of starting to understand more about some of what we’re learning.
Jurors will be supported to question our programme of witnesses which includes heads of service, innovators within the sector, carers and people who receive care. At the end of the three days, the Jurors will consider everything they’ve heard and spend the morning of the 27th outlining their findings, conclusions and recommendations.
These will be presented to Welsh Government later in the year and also form part of the wider project reporting which will be shared across Wales.
We want our Jury to represent the diversity of Wales and would love people from, or supported by, your organisation to get involved. We will be covering all out of pocket expenses and people will earn Time Credits for their involvement.
People who interested in being a Juror should contact Katie – email@example.com / 07964 407 739 to register their interest by August 13th. She will then send them more detailed information about the Jury and what being involved will entail.
Please be aware that we are still collecting stories, and will be doing so until at least the end of October. You can access the survey through our website www.mtm.wales
