Drink Wise Age Well is a UK-wide programme that aims to influence and inform policy and practice in preventing alcohol misuse amongst older people, specifically those aged 50 and over.
We are looking to recruit a Prevention Project Worker who will work as part of the Drink Wise Age Well Prevention and Campaign Team. The team specifically focus on campaigns, brief interventions and alcohol awareness in the community.
Key responsibilities will include:
- To promote the Drink Wise, Age well Programme and messaging to individuals, groups, communities, employers and other agencies via various communication channels, empowering them to make healthy choices.
- To collaborate with Programme partners to deliver behaviour change interventions and preventative approaches at a population level which have a positive impact on the health of a community
- Deliver awareness sessions and workshops in various community settings areas such as libraries, community centres and the work place
