We are writing to advise you to save the date in anticipation of the next National Primary Care Conference, organised by the Primary Care Hub and 1000 Lives Improvement in Public Health Wales.
This conference will be attended by Vaughan Gething AM, the Cabinet Secretary for Health and Social Services and will follow from the national conferences held in October 2016 and November 2017.
The 2018 conference will be an opportunity for delegates to hear how access to primary care services is developing across Wales and about:
- the contributions each of the contractor professions and our social care partners are making to improve access to information, advice and care;
- the developing role of Allied and Advanced Healthcare professionals to multi-disciplinary team working within Clusters to deliver the transformation model;
- the role of new and emerging technology to improve access and sustainability;
- and other topics which might include primary prevention, developing the national narrative, urgent access 24/7 and further information on the Transformation Fund in Wales.
The conference will include a combination of presentations using local and national examples, interactive exercises/workshops/table discussions, exhibition/marketplace displays and networking opportunities.
This promises to be an exciting and important event for all colleagues across Wales working in and with primary care services.
The conference will be held in Cardiff and more information will follow over the coming weeks along with details of how to request your place. In the meantime, please save Thursday 15th November 2018 in your diary.
