Me time is a project that is focused on reducing isolation and loneliness with people with a disability, by getting them involved in activities found within their local communities. The project shall last 6 months, in which time individuals will have an opportunity to try lots of different activities in groups of around 4, and hopefully will repeat activities they particularly enjoy. Along with this, the groups shall be completing a community impact project, which will be picked and planned by the individuals with a learning disability. We hope that this can be seen as people with a learning disability giving back to the community. Below is a leaflet explaining the project, along with an easy read version and the referral form.
We are having an induction session on Wednesday the 4 December from 11am to 3pm which anyone who is interest can come along to, meet the team, and get more information.
If you have any questions at all about the project, please don’t hesitate to contact Genny by email: Genny.Stephenson@mencap.org.uk or you can call on 07796548363
