Thanks to all our veterans and those not here to celebrate and remember with us…
and those supporting them to stay fed, stay well and keep connected on VE Day while we remember those no longer with us. I had the privilege of walking with Dawn Parkin, a veteran herself last week on the RCT Community Fundraiser (see below) and what amazed and moved me were all the streets lined filled with so many colourful flags. It just helps to remind us not of the past but the present and the sense of community in RCT.

LATET NEWS: APPLY FOR BUSINESS RATE RELIEF – WG POLICY CHANGE
Wales Finance Minister Rebecca Evans has announced a £26m package for charities to get through the coronavirus crisis. She said small charities ‘within the retail, leisure and hospitality sector will receive a £10,000 business support grant to help them respond to the financial challenges.’ Those that had successfully applied previously were at risk of having the grant recovered, but this is now not the case.
The effect of the measures mean that all retail, leisure and hospitality businesses with a rateable value below £500,000 will receive 100% non-domestic rates relief in 2020-21. FIND MORE INFORMATION HERE. The Council will automatically award this relief to qualifying businesses which means you do not have to make an application or contact the Council about this.
