As we start to find out what the ‘new normal’ will be, we are looking at how we help you prepare to return after lock down. There is currently a range of guidance out there for those providing activities such as retail and childcare, but not for community and youth settings – so if you come across any, please share. Non-essential retail businesses, which can comply with the physical distancing duty, should start to prepare to reopen with a decision on the 18th June.
ADVICE AND SUPPORT ON REOPENING AFTER LOCK-DOWN
Furlough DEADLINE and Part-Time Work
Don’t forget this is the last day you can start to furlough staff, as employees need to have been furloughed for 3 weeks before the end of the month. Employers will also be able to bring employees back part-time (as long as they have been on furlough for at least 3 weeks) – ACAS have a simple template letter you can use. Please Visit Here

VOLUNTEERING
Nominations Are Open – The REALLY BIG RCT Volunteering Celebration
We want you to nominate the fantastic groups and volunteers working throughout RCT – don’t be shy if you do not tell us, we will find you – we know who you are! Anyone can nominate. You can nominate a group of volunteers all at once and/or tell us about individual volunteers who may have overcome lots of challenges or helped to support someone, a community, coordinate a street or group. Please start nominating a volunteer or a group today! Please email: volunteering@interlinkrct.org.uk
Help Photograph the Work of Volunteers through Covid-19
We are looking for help from all the local photographic groups and filmmakers out there – we need to capture the photographs and stories of volunteers, and the people they have supported through Covid-19 – can you help us? Please email volunteering@interlinkrct.org.uk or call 01443 846200.
The REALLY BIG Listening Campaign – Get On Board
We are soon to embark on our REALLY BIG LISTENING CAMPAIGN to look at how we can learn from Covid-19 and how to prepare for the future. Do you want to get involved collect experiences of Covid-19?
Please email info@interlinkrct.org.uk or call 01443 846200.
Keep safe, keep well and let us look forward to an easing of lock-down – while thinking about all those who have been requested to stay at home for longer (to the 15 August) and those, like my mum, in chronic pain on growing hospital waiting lists, who may need our ongoing support and kindness.
