We are here to support you and your group develop the knowledge and skills you need. So if you think you or your group might benefit from training, we will be able to help. We run open courses or put on individual courses for small groups, depending on what suits you best and will design a course specifically for you!

Training Schedule October 2017 to March 2018
Are you ready for the new General Data Protection Regulations that become part of UK law on 25th May 2018? The law introduces key changes to existing data protection law, giving individuals more control of their data rights.
It is important that organisations are aware of the changes as they have legal obligations and the responsibility for ensuring that policies, training etc are in place. This session will give an insight into the changes that will be introduced and is aimed at board members and senior managers as responsibility for compliance lies with them.

Volunteer Management Training
Days One and Two: Wednesday 6th and Thursday 7th December 2017 at Interlink
Days Three and Four: Wednesday 13th and Thursday 14th 2017 December at VAMT
For anyone who has a responsibility for recruiting, training and supporting volunteers. The sessions will cover:

Working with Public Services: Co-production
Date: 13 February 2018
Time: 9:30 am to 12:30 pm

This learning event will look at where we are with co-production, the policies driving it, and what it feels like on the ground. It will focus on sharing experiences and practice, and look at opportunities to develop co-productive practice in the work that you do.
Who is this course for? Anyone and everyone with an interest in improving public services, whether you receive them or are responsible for planning or delivering public services.
Safeguarding Children & Young People

This is a level 2 awareness raising session for voluntary and community groups which will increase the participants’ confidence in identifying and referring safeguarding issues. Participants will:
- Develop a basic understanding of child protection and abuse
·Gain knowledge of child protection terms
· Consider how to report/respond as an individual
This course is aimed at those with a limited knowledge of safeguarding issues who are looking to set up, or review safeguarding policies and procedures within their organisation.

This is a level 2 awareness raising session for voluntary and community groups which will include:
- The background to legislation
·Definitions and indicators of abuse

This course is aimed at those with a limited knowledge of safeguarding issues who are looking to set up, or review safeguarding policies and procedures within their organization.
